I've never been a big gum-chewer. I've always thought the down-sides of gum outweighed any pleasure or benefit, especially during the years that my kids were small and gum was a downright liability. (Six girls, can you say "haircut"?) And if you suffer from a TMJ problem like I and some of my daughters do, chewing gum can be a source of pain.
Well I've changed my mind. At least temporarily. At least long enough for me to collect a few of these nifty containers. I know, the manufacturer figured they could get some of us hooked on gum if they gave us a reason to hoard their packaging, and if so they just scored with this Granny.
I've been looking for a container that will hold these little plastic flossers. I use the floss picks that are bent for easier access to the back teeth, but storing a few of them in a small space is hard because of their shape. I like to keep them in the bathroom, in my purse, and in my bedside drawer. (Yes, I'm an obsessive flosser, but that's another issue.) Anyway, these little gum containers are perfect! They're just the right size, they open and close easily, and the labels come off quickly and easily so that you're left with a cute plain white dispenser for the flossers!
BONUS: I have a husband who doesn't floss much but is an obsessive Q-Tip user and these work perfectly for those too! And they look fine out on the bathroom counter, unlike the box!
I'm sure I'm going to find some other ingenious uses for these, so I have to hurry and collect them before the manufacturer thinks of something else.
By the way. If you call me and it sounds like I have a massive wad of gum in my mouth, well....
(And it's okay. It's sugar-free ;-) )
