The atmosphere in St. Paul last night wasn't quite as electric as the night before, but McCain's acceptance speech was moving and comforting and was about the best we can expect from a man whose strengths lie in other areas.My prayer is that we now have a team who, in addition to keeping our country secure and stemming the flow of federal dollars into places they don't belong, will continue to stock our Supreme Court with justices who respect personal property, individual rights, and LIFE. As I've said before, this is the major reason that my enthusiasm for voting isn't extinguished by a candidate with whom I don't agree on some important issues. Presidents come and go...SCOTUS justices seem to live forever and will leave a much deeper imprint on the lives of my children and grandchildren than will either McCain or Obama.
