Shortly before midnight last night, I met my goal of finishing all school prep and making a new (quite complicated) schedule for the family for the fall. I fell into bed one happy woman. And we are ready to go tomorrow morning.
And yes, this week is the start of our monster homeschool co-op at Granny's House. We have around 50 kids enrolled in PE, Latin, logic, and piano, and lots of moms and little ones coming for a variety of activities. I'll let you know if we survive!
I have been gorging myself on yellow squash this week, thanks to sweet friend Lora who sent us enough to feed
Then there's reading...The Mill on the Floss was a joy this week. Okay, so I didn't like the ending that much but it's a beautiful story...and the first George Eliot I've ever read. Unless something was wasted on me in high school that I don't even remember...
To this week's raging debate on Sarah Palin, add another beautifully thought-out and balanced view from the inimitable Al Mohler. Both his applause and his concerns are stated with grace.
Time is short tonight and so are the snippets. Have a great week!
